Principal

Peggy Munarriz

Peggy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. After graduation, she worked as an Interior Designer. Peggy arrived in Macau in 1990 and was one of the first graduates of the University of Macau's Bachelor's degree in English Studies with Specialization in Communications in 1995. Afterwards, she held various administrative and managerial tasks in an education association in Macau. She has been part of Jingdou Management since 2002. She relaxes by meeting friends, reading, and doing sports whenever she can. She currently finished her Masters' course in Education with the University of Western Australia.

 

Teachers

Cabell Chan

Cabell finished a Master's degree of Business Administration with University of Saint Joseph in 2009. She graduated from the University of Macau in a BA in English Studies with specialization in Communications. She previously worked as a script writer, researcher, PR representative and media business proprietor before joining Jingdou as a Cantonese & English language instructor. She enjoys yoga, playing the piano and reading in her free time.

 

Fatima Figueiredo

Fatima completed her Masters in Arts (M.A.) and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) from the Pune University, India. She selected English and History as the main methods of teaching for her B.Ed.
After finishing her studies, Fatima taught for three years in India, two years in Angola, Africa and twenty-six years in Macau, as a Secondary School English Teacher for the Macau Bureau of Education and Youth (D.S.E.J.). Throughout this long period, Fatima taught in different Government Schools and in the post hand-over years (1999-2010), she mostly worked with adults keen on completing their full secondary education and improving their skills in the English language. Fatima is teaching in Jingdou since 2011. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking and gardening.

 

Ken Im

After studying in the U.S.A. and Japan, Ken worked in mainland China for several years and eventually settled in Macau. He is interested in teaching English as a communicative means rather than just as a second language. He is keen on bringing insights and perspectives from other cultures when teaching, and is compassionate about fulfilling education for young learners. He hopes to make his classes interesting and meaningful for his students. In his leisure time, Ken enjoys reading and travelling.

 

May Chan

In 2011, she took a Certificate in Teaching English as Second Language (TESOL) with International TEFL and TESOL Training (ITTT) and in 2014, she graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education in University of Saint Joseph in Macau. Since 2010, she has been working in Jingdou teaching English to different age groups. A graduate of the University of Asia and the Pacific with a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities with Management in 2005, May has experiences in the corporate world as well as in the academic sphere.

 

Neil Spencer

Originally from the United Kingdom, Neil has lived in Macau since December 2012 and joined Jingdou at the end of October 2013. He has a T.E.S.O.L certificate in teaching general English with a specialism in business and a bachelor’s degree in English.

Before moving to Macau, he spent some time travelling the world and living in Spain. In his spare time, he enjoys learning about other cultures, creative writing, reading, watching movies, cooking and socializing with friends.

Administration

Fandy Sio

Joined Jingdou in early 2008, Fandy works as a full-time receptionist. She has experience about human resources for over ten years. She enjoys the working environment in Jingdou and meeting parents and their children.
